Born into a family of farmers, Polytink Elizabeth Mernmer always had dreams of roaming the stars; making her fortune, and her name, among like-minded friends. Of course, this went against all that her family stood for. Now, even though she has lost that family, she still sends ISK back home to support them. Her mother will always accept and love her daughter, but her father has disowned her outright. The farm is never broke because of what Polytink does for them, yet never doing "well" either. She knows the next time she goes home will be to attend her father's funeral, so keeping her mom safe is all that matters to Polytink now. She has accepted this pain, and grown stronger because of it. To some, it seems funny that Polytink was born into a family of farmers, especially given her innate gifts repairing and maintaining any mechanical device. “If I can touch it, I can fix it!” is her motto. Many people in her travels have called Polytink “Ms. Fixit” because of those talents.
