At a young age he left his homeworld of Luminaire in exile and joined The Merchant Marines working as a Military Strategist, Corporate Administrator, and then Director of Corporate Administration. During his time at the Merchant Marines Seth started an employee seniority program, led an inquest to discover an employee's secret insubordination, organized and initiated a department of trade, developed a civilian/military employment system, survived a coup d'etat, created a bill of rights, and rewrote and initiated a new corporate structure.

When the Merchant Marines leadership moved their operations to 0.0 space all aspects of Merchant Marine society started to buckle, leaving the group divided into three groups. Each fractured off eventually and as old leaders disappeared Seth reorganized and claimed right to the Merchant Marine legacy and carried on the the group's name and duties in Unpas.
