The past of one Amisi Amelana, nicknamed "Amy", is fairly obscure. All that is recorded is that while she was born to a poor family on Khanid Prime V, an unknown benefactor financed their Capsuleer training, and after paying the full amount mysteriously vanished three years into the process. This fact has left Amy rather jumpy whenever the topic comes up, though it is not clear why.

Amy has shown little interest in politics during the first few years of her capsuleer training, but when the benefactor vanished she suddenly had a vested interest in joining a large corporation with many assets at it's disposal, and thus threw herself at her studies to become as desireable as possible to said corporations. She claims it is because she's seen a new light. This is doubtful.
