Chet-Shi was always a person of a rather single minded focus. Spending much of their youth learning about the intracacies of Gallente culture and understanding their dealings with the universe. As an Intaki their feelings were often a mixture of both pride and yet also contemplation. The Intaki had after all once upon a time sympathized with the Caldari state and sometimes still did. While Chent-shi had never wavered in their support for the Gallentian democracy they also understood it had many flaws, a product of talking at extended length with their father about the nature of the numerous wars that raged across Eden's space.
Nevertheless, Chent-Shi remained an enormous patriot and proponent of the innate good of the Gallente Federation, even while undergoing the intense stress of becoming a Capsuleer and putting together their neural rigging. Not once did they think of wielding their power in service to another organization, nor did they think of abusing that power for personal gain. This was despite the fact that Capsuleers had an enormous degree of autonomy and by all logic they should be able to exercise that freedom by merit. No one, especially not among the Gallente, would of argued with them as long as they did not use that power in the service of other empires against their home. That was their right, it was the freedom they had earned.
The irony is that despite that freedom, freedom and liberty that Chent-Shi ferverantly advocates for at every oppertunity, they have no real desire to be free themselves. They shackled themselves to the Gallente because they believed, for better or worse, that the Federations freedom was more important then their own. Only through the sacrifice of the few and privilaged could the greater whole truly be free. They dedicated their life to the Federation and it's allies as a diplomat, but also as a pilot. One dedicated to preserving the Federation and it's member states, as well as those it often helped such as the Minmatar.
"Freedom is what you do with what has been done to you. Do you lash out in violence or do you extend a helping hand? I prefer the latter, but I do not blame the former. I am no pacifist and sometimes the oppressed must break their oppressors. I will help them do that, if need be." - Chent Shi.
