I am a lifeless monument.
I am dedicated to Laura Karpinski, EVE University's CEO and a senior of E-Uni for at least the last 7 years.
I was a proud member of EVE University for nearly my entire active time in EVE, from July 2018 until August 2024. I flew in HSC, LSC, NSC, and WHC and served as a trusted Buyback Officer where my loyalty was never questioned. I helped the defense of the Uni on more than 35 strategic operations (that I counted). I opened my wallet and freely donated to cover significant losses at personal expense. I was especially proud of the day I earned my Graduate title. I even specifically trained this alt character to stay behind, after my main moved on, to defend the Uni and spend time with my friends.
Well, unfortunately, Laura is the kind of leader that doesn't value any of that. Laura values obedience and silent deference. She didn't care about me, and she doesn't care about you. The day you cross is her will be your last day in the Uni.
Of course, you've got to be asking, "What did you do?" Simply put, I disagreed with Laura's posting of lefist political slogans on EVE University's Discord. The EVE University rules called for creating a welcoming environment for all but when I protested, I learned the truth. She meant a welcoming environment for anyone with her positions. I was soon contacted by a minion. I offered a reasonable compromise, that she and I both drop our political messaging. Instead, she permabanned me and blocked me from all Uni comms.
So hard truths: if you're a member of E-Uni, and not one of Laura's personal friends, Laura doesn't give a shit about you. If you hold a conservative view, she'll call you a bigot. Her view of "diversity" is one that involves unity of thought. E-Uni is her personal corporation. It belongs to her and her friends. She'll kick whomever she pleases, and she answers to no one. She doesn't want your opinion or care.
Under her leadership, E-Uni is now a toxic HiSec mining corp with an aging Wiki, its purpose thoroughly abandoned. Know that your CEO stands on the backs of greater predecessors amongst the ruins of its founder's dream.
