Orphaned from a young age, she was taken in by an order of monks and raised at the local monastery. Her guardian and mentor Juin Xi gave her the name Debra Scy.
Later in life, she joined the State War Academy to experience the world that she heard so much about from Juin. She quickly ascended the ranks through luck and hard work, and left the academy as a Captain of her own ship.
